Designing the Digital Model of the Arenal Volcano Summit
Regardless of the industry or marketing needs; drone images and video can increase attention to website and advertisement channels. We offer customizable support for various companies and stakeholders requiring drone technology. No matter the project we have complimentary ideas designed to facilitate your marketing and advertising needs through our B2B servicing platform.

Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica is situated along the Central American Volcanic Arc, formed by subduction of the Cocos Plate beneath the Caribbean Plate, and is widely recognized as a classic open-vent system that sustained continuous activity from 1968 to 2010. During this period, persistent Strombolian eruptions, lava effusion, and steady summit degassing reflected efficient gas escape from a shallow magmatic conduit, limiting overpressure and large explosive events. Summit fumaroles served as the primary pathway for volatile release, emitting high-temperature magmatic gases dominated by H₂O, CO₂, and SO₂, with minor H₂S, HCl, and HF. Following the cessation of eruptive activity in 2010, Arenal entered a quiescent state characterized by weak, steam-rich summit fumaroles with minimal SO₂ output, suggesting a transition from magmatic to hydrothermal degassing and the absence of significant shallow magma recharge. In 2022 we designed a digital model of the Arenal Volcano summit to support the hazard mitigation and public safety initiatives of Costa Rica.
